What are your top reasons??

Yep, I love this time of year and must confess….I’m a full blown holiday geek that loves this time of year! This time of year brings out the best in people with random acts of kindness and giving, more people smiling at each other and that true spirit of good will towards all is overflowing! There are oodles of reasons why I personally love the holidays than just those listed below and here are some of my top ones:

1.      Getting together with family and friends and sharing old memories and making new ones! There are many wonderful people with truly warm hearts and it’s a treat to be around each and every one of them.

2.      Decorating the house and seeing the neighborhood decked out! Every year, the decorations expand a bit more and this year was no different! Seeing the lights and creativity of others brings out the holiday cheer for the entire neighborhood

3.      Cooking the holiday meals and testing out the new recipes. I do enjoy cooking and though my culinary skills gravitate towards the easy recipes, there are usually 1 or 2 new dishes yearly with some hits and some misses! (And if it misses the mark, the holiday teasing is in full force!)

4.      Sending holiday cards to people I have not seen in a long time. Breaking out the holiday card list brings out many smiles because it’s a wonderful reminder of the people we’ve crossed paths.

5.      Listening to holiday music and watching holiday movies. Yep…love it! I dig the older movies the most, such as Miracle on 34th Street, Christmas Carol, Holiday Affair, It happened on 5th Avenue.

There are many more reasons but overall just seeing people filled with the spirit of good will towards all and giving and generosity in their hearts!

Hope you all have a wonderful holiday season filled with extra special holiday cheer!
